Welcome and pick the quests up at Luang Prabang International Airport, transfer to hotel, checkin and take a short rest. City sight seeing tour of WorldHeritage listed Luang Prabang, visit old Royal temple which are included Wat Xiengthong (built in 1560); Wat May (one of the most beautiful and interesting temple in Luang Prabang); Wat Visoun (built in 1512) and Wat Aham. After lunch with French style food then climb to Phousi Hill for a beautiful sunset view of the town and the Mekong River. There are 329 steps leading us on zigzag way past various temples to the holy, gilded stupa of That Chomsi at the top. After that, enjoy shopping at the lively street night market. Back to hotel and stay overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 2: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Cave.
After breakfast, transfer to the dock for boat trip on the Mekong River to visit Pak Ou cave (one and half hours) with thousands of very old Buddha images. Have lunch at a local restaurant. On the way back, stop to visit Ban Sanghai to visit the distillation of local rice wine and ancient pottery village. From Ban Sanghai, drive to visit Ban Phanom Tai Lu hand weaving village and Sa paper maker at Ban Xieng Leck. Free leisure time to experience the old town. Stay overnight in Luang Prabang.
